My ten year old loves watercolor projects. She made up this easy watercolor idea and did from drawing till painting all by herself. We had already made a peacock with watercolor and white crayon for which I drew the peacock. She wanted to draw and made this beautiful painting with watercolor and marker.

Materials needed:
- Watercolor paint
- Watercolor paper
- Paint brush
- Permanent black marker
- Pencil
- Eraser
Method :
- My daughter had drawn the peacock the same way I did for the other peacock project. As I was not around when she was drawing, I had posted pictures from my drawing. Draw a mango shape for the body of the peacock.
- Draw raindrops for the feathers. Add eyes, beak and crown.
- Trace the drawing in permanent marker.
- Paint the peacock in cool colors like blue, green and purple.
- Paint the background with warm colors like red, orange and blue.
- Crayon provides a separation and colors from background and picture do not bleed. But marker allows the colors to bleed. She was a little careful around the border area.
She was so proud of her painting. This peacock painting has given her a lot of confidence to try various cartoon characters in watercolor painting. What do you think about her painting?
