Materials Needed
1. Artificial flowers – I got mine from dollar store
2. Hair Barrettes
3. Pom poms or gems
4. Hot glue
5. Felt (optional)
Method
Step 1: Remove the flower from the stem. Remove the green portion (receptacle) from the flower. Now we can separate the petals. The flowers came with 2 or 3 petals. We wanted a big flower. So we made one flower with 4 petals.
Step 2: Layer the petals according to their size from big to small. Hot glue the petals together.
Step 3: Hot glue a pom pom in the middle of the flower. Now the flower is ready. Hot glue the flower to the barrette.
Note : Before gluing the flower to the barrette, we glued a small piece of felt to the barrette to increase the space where we can glue the flower. It created a love hate situation as the felt was blocking the closing of one the barrettes. I removed the felt from that particular barrette and glued the flower directly which worked just fine. So attaching the felt to the barrette became optional.
The beautiful flower clip is done!
We did flower hair band. Followed the same procedure. Separated the petals from the green portion, hot glued the petals. Instead of Pom pom in the middle, we used gem. Attached a small piece of felt to the band. Felt is a must here as we need to increase the space to make the flower sit. Glue the flower to the band. Viola! The band is done.

My daughter was very happy about how it turned out. She was discussing about making more for her friends.
It looked beautiful on my kid’s head.
