Hi Everyone,
Today I am sharing the free play of my toddler with baby oatmeal. My daughter did not like the taste of the oatmeal and stopped eating it suddenly. The quantity was not enough to pass it to others. So we used for free play. I love free play as no set up is required from my side!
Material Needed :
1. Baby oatmeal
All other materials are optional. How good is that?
I gave her the oatmeal in a tray and left her loose.
First she explored the oatmeal with her hand.
It is sticky. She did taste it few times.
When I felt she was loosing interest, I gave her a bowl. She started transferring using her hand.
After few minutes, I gave her a spoon.
She found out that transferring with spoon takes a lot of time but pouring from the plate is easy. She was transferring back and forth few times!
She was happily playing for more than 30 minutes.
A word of caution : It is so messy. I removed her pants after few mins of playing. After she finished playing, I had to give her a bath. Clean the deck. I was so happy that we did outside. But she enjoyed thoroughly and it is worth the effort!
What materials did you give your toddler to explore?
This is a great idea, we’re very keen on toys frozen in ice for some water play 🙂 Thanks for linking up with Tuesday Tutorials
Thanks Crafts on Sea for you lovely comment!
Great idea to use oatmeal for sensory play!
Thanks Clarissa
