Kandinsky is a well known Russian painter and artist. He is known for his work ” Farbstudie Quadrate” – Squares with concentric circles. I had created a matching activity earlier inspired by his work. Now we did painting – squares with concentric hearts as part of our Valentine’s day activities.

Materials needed :
4. Ruler
5. Pencil
Method :
1. Split the paper into 12 equal squares. We just eyeballed and made squares using ruler and pencil.
2. Draw concentric hearts inside each square with oil pastel.
3. Color the squares with water color.
It is a simple procedure to follow. I feel watercolor always gives beautiful result. This painting will be a beautiful gift for Valentine’s day!
