Suncatchers are easy to make but decorates the window beautifully. We have done butterfly suncatcher and egg suncatcher earlier. This time we created shamrock suncatcher to decorate our window.
Materials needed:
1. Construction paper
2. Color tissue paper
3. Glue
4. Scissors
5. Pencil
6. Ruler
Method :
1. Draw a shamrock in the construction paper. Draw a border using the ruler around it. Please make sure that the shamrock is attached to the border at at least 2 places so that both of them are not separated.
2. Draw another shamrock slightly smaller inside the already drawn shamrock.
2. Cut out small shamrock and inside portion of the border.
3. Cut the tissue paper into thin strips. We made butterfly suncatcher, with small torn tissue paper. This time we cut the tissue paper into thin strips.
4. Start pasting green construction paper on the shamrock and the blue outside.
5. Trim the paper which are outside the design.
6. Let it dry
7. Attach it to the window with a piece of tape.
8. Enjoy your creation
As my daughter had cut very thin strips, she had to paste more than one strips at some places. Suncatchers are very simple to make but creates satisfactory effect.
