As you might know, aluminium foil is one of the mediums which is loved in our family. My eight year old loves working with it. As a decoration piece for St.Patrick’s day, we made a shamrock with aluminium foil and bubble wrap.
Materials needed:
1. Empty cereal box
2. Bubble wrap
3. Aluminium foil
4. Pencil
5. Scissors
6. Tape
Method:
1. Remove the side flap from the cereal box and open it
2. Draw a shamrock and cut it out.
3. Cut the bubble wrap slightly bigger than the cereal box shamrock. Wrap it around the shamrock and secure it with tape.
I took a picture of that step and could not locate now. Sorry.
4. Cut the aluminium foil slightly bigger than bubble wrapped shamrock. Wrap it around the shamrock and secure it with tape
5. Slightly smooth out the foil so that the bubble wrap’s texture would show through.
Though we have made a shamrock, the same process can be followed for any shape. From my experience, I can assure you that kids enjoy working with aluminium foil.
