Materials needed : (affiliation links used)
1. Washi tape ( I did not use this brand. I have given for reference)
2. Empty cereal box
3. Scissors
4. Ruler
5. Pencil
Method :
1. Cut along the side tab of the empty cereal box.
2. The width of my washi tapes was 2 inches. As I wanted to create cards with 2 tapes, I wanted cards that are 4 inches wide. Based on your tape’s size, the measurement will vary. I made the cards 3 inches long.
3. I drew 12 rectangles (6 pairs) that are 4*3 in the cereal box and cut them out.
4. My eight year old pasted two tapes adjacent to each other to make the card. She made two cards one after other with the same pattern to play matching or memory game.
5. The cards were ready within 5 minutes
My toddler has played single image matching activities till now. She has to match the cards based on two patterns. Initially it was challenging for her, but she got hang of it. Once she is comfortable with matching, we will move to memory game.
My eight year old suddenly realized that the cards can be used as dominos too and started arranging them.

I love this idea!!!!! It looks like so much fun. We have a lot of different pieces of duct tape. I may try this activity with that.
My girls love washi tape & would love to make these kind of games for their little brother. Thx for linking this post up at the Thoughtful Spot!
