I made a board game to play with my preschooler to introduce her to board games. She needs a game which does not require a lot of rules to follow, reading ability and should get over within 5 minutes. I created this rainbow board game which satisfies the all above needs. You can download the game for free from here.
Materials needed :
1. Board game (get your copy here)
2. Dice ( Cut out the color tabs on the 2nd page of the template. Paste them on the dice)
3. Counters
Rules of the game:
The rules of the game are pretty simple. The game can be played by any number of players.
Cut out the color tabs on the 2nd page of the template. Paste them on a dice
Place the counters at the start arrow. Roll the dice and call out the color. Move your counter to the corresponding color box. Take turns and continue the game in the same way. The one who reaches the rainbow which is at the end of the board is the winner
My preschooler loves this game. Every time we play this game, she wants to repeat again and again. She didn’t understand that she has to follow the path and reach the rainbow. She moves her counter back and forth. It is a nice introduction to board games.
You can download the game for free for personal purposes.
