Washi tape is becoming one of our favorite mediums to use. I shared a washi tape matching activity that I made for my toddler! This post is about the washi tape sticker art made by my eight year old. She made washi tape stickers and used those stickers to make an art.
Materials needed:
1. Washi type (affiliation link. I did not use this brand. Just for your reference)
2. Cereal box liner (the bag which holds the cereals in the cereal box)
Method:
1. Cut open the cereal box liner at one side
2. Stick the washi tapes to the cereal box liner. We did not follow any patterns. We just made sure that we were not sticking the same tape next to each other. Now cereal box liner along with the washi tape looked like a big sticker.
3. Cut out various shapes from the sticker.
4. Remove the backing (cereal box liner) and use the shapes like a sticker.
To make the artwork:
My daughter drew squares at the backing with a sharpie. She cut out the squares.
She removed the backing and pasted them in a piece of paper.
The squares weren’t properly cut. But I felt that made the art work more beautiful!

Thanks Laura.. How are you feeling now?
I like this – very striking! I love the not quite square squares too – they add more charm!
