Transferring water with kitchen towel is a very simple activity. As the name explains, the idea is to transfer water from one bowl to another with kitchen towel. This activity was initiated by my preschooler. She was playing with water and was cleaning the spills with kitchen towel. She transferred the water in the soaked kitchen towel to the bowl. Then, I realized that I have never tried this simple activity with her. It’s always easy to overlook the simple things!
Materials needed:
1. Two bowls
2. Water
3. Kitchen towel
4. Tray
I filled one bowl with water and kept both the bowls in the tray. Kept few kitchen towels in the tray. The preschooler has to transfer the water from one bowl to another with the kitchen towel.
My daughter started immediately and she did not need any instructions. She was totally engaged in the activity.
She was talking about kitchen towel soaking up all the water. This simple water transfer activity gave her a lot of satisfaction. She is also strengthening her hand muscles.
I was little hesitant to write this post as it is a very simple activity. But my preschooler enjoyed this activity so much that I had to write about it!

I love how simple and engaging this activity is! We’ve done something similar, using sponges to transfer the water from one bowl to another. We’ll have to try using a towel next time. Thanks for sharing!
