Today I am sharing a pipe cleaner snowflake made by my ten year old. Snowflakes made with pipe cleaner is a classic activity and I am sure kids of all ages love that. To make it a little more interesting for my daughter, we rolled the pipe cleaners and made the snowflakes.
Materials needed:
- Pipe cleaner – We used white sparkly ones.
- Glue gun
- Paper
- Scissors
Method:
1. Cut pipe cleaner in half. Start rolling the pipe cleaner around your index finger to make a loop.
2. Holding the loop in one hand, roll the remaining pipe cleaner around it maintaining the round shape.
3. Repeat step 1 & 2 to make required circles. Start arranging the pipe cleaner circles in a piece of paper. We made few rain drop ones by pressing a side with thumb and index finger.
4. Once you are satisfied with your arrangement, start pasting them with the glue gun. My daughter can use the glue gun in the low. She was able to manage on her own.
The beautiful pipe cleaner snowflake is done. It can be arranged in lot of other ways to create unique designs. Instead of gluing, it can be used such as for playing too
