My preschooler and I did the snowman painting when my eleven year old was at school. When she returned, she was upset about leaving her in the painting fun. As we used kitchen scrubbing pad for the snowman painting, we used the same to paint our Christmas tree. After I explain the process, I am sure you all will accept that this art activity is of the most simple Christmas Crafts.

Materials needed for this simple Christmas tree painting craft:
- Tempera paint
- Printer paper
- Stainless Steel Scouring pad or Scrubbing pad
Method:
Pour brown and green paint in a wide pan.
Hold a small portion of the scrubbing pad between your fingers. Take a bit of brown paint in the scrubbing pad. Pat the paint in the paper working from bottom to top. If there are gaps, just pat again in that area. It is super easy. As you see the stem painted by my daughter was not straight. But it did not affect our output.
2. Take a bit of green paint in the scrubbing pad, pat horizontally to the brown stem. If you run out of paint, take some more and repeat the process. Continue making another branches. To be more realistic, make branches of different length. Keep decreasing the length of the branch as you move closer to the top.
This painting literally takes 2 minutes to make. My daughter got hooked up and had to make another one.
The amount of scrubbing pad held between the fingers affects the size of the strokes. Adjust the paint and the size of the scrubbing pad according to your requirement.
This painting idea can be used to make Christmas cards as each tree will be personalized and does not take a lot of time to make the cards.
Do you agree with me that this is one of the most simple Christmas crafts?
