Today’s post is about a very simple Christmas painting idea for kids. How can Christmas crafts be completed without painting an Angel? This simple angel painting was done using a stationary item. Though it is geared towards big kids, this angel painting can be done by a preschooler too.

Materials required to make this Christmas craft:
- Acrylic paint – Tempera paint can also be used. We used Acrylic paint as we ran out of white tempera paint.
- Push pin
- Color paper
- Pencil
- Playdough (optional)
Method:
1.Draw an angel in the paper with pencil. I hand drew the angel looking at a template. Templates are available in the internet. Print the template and trace on the color paper using a carbon paper.
2. Pour the white paint in a wide pan.
3. Attach the playdough at the sharp edge of the pushpin. This is just to ensure that the push pin is not pocking the kids tender fingers.
4. Touch the head of the push pin the paint and dab in on the outline of the angel. It is a very simple painting technique. Use push pin and black paint to make the eyes, pink paint for mouth and yellow for the halo.
The angel painting is done! If you are uncomfortable using a push pin, you can use the back of the pencil to do the painting. My ten year old enjoyed this painting more than my preschooler. Share pictures when you try!
