Today I am sharing another simple snowflake idea to do with preschoolers. This is in addition to our other snowflake crafts for kids like watercolor snowflake art, snowflake painting with marker, snowflake painting with plastic bag.
Materials to make these snowflakes:
- Printer paper
- Scissors
- Glue
- Glitter or sequins to decorate the snowflakes (Optional)
Method:
- Cut the white printer paper into thin strips with 0.5 inches width and length as same as the length of the paper.
- We need four strips for a snowflake. Make a cross with two strips of paper. Keep the other two diagonal to first two.
- Bring the end of all the strips to the middle one by one. We used school glue to paste the strips at the middle. A drop of glue at the center was sufficient to past 3 to 4 strips of paper. I was not sure if my preschooler would be able to do this part. However she did without any problem. Her snowflakes were not perfect however I believe imperfection is what makes snowflakes unique 🙂
- Let the snowflakes dry.
- If required, decorate the snowflakes. We used glue and glitter to decorate them.
It is a very simple paper snowflakes idea. Big kids will also enjoy making these. I believe it is an addition to our other simple snowflakes crafts for kids.
