I mentioned in my Christmas wreath painting post that we used a kitchen stainless scrubbing pad to paint the wreath. Since the wreath painting turned out so beautiful, I wanted to try some more painting ideas with scrubbing pad. Snowman painting seems to be a perfect winter craft idea to try with scrubbing pad. This idea suits kids of all ages.

Materials required to paint this snowman :
- Stainless scrubbing pad or scouring pad
- Color paper
- Tempera paint
- Sharpie
- Pencil (optional)
- Bowls to draw circles (optional)
Method:
- Draw three different sized circles using bowls and pencil on the Neenah brand color paper . We love Neenah color papers. They are bright and inviting.
- Pour white paint in a wide pan.
- Take the paint in the scrubbing pad and dab it on the paper. Fill the circles with the paint.
- Once the circles are filled completely, add the eyes and buttons. We used the backside of the pencil to make those circles. My preschooler loves pink. So we added pink buttons. Let the painting dry.
- Cut hat and nose from black and orange papers. Draw the hands with Sharpie. The simple snowman painting is completed.
I could not resist doing one when my preschooler was doing. This is mine. How is he looking?
My preschooler enjoyed creating this snowman. Painting always gives her instance satisfaction. She was so proud of her painting. Scrubbing pad has become our favorite object to paint with and I have stored one in our paint box permanently for our future painting sessions.
