Easy valentines crafts

Kids Valentine Crafts : Contract heart painting

Today’s post is about a simple heart painting idea. It is one of the simplest kids valentine crafts. My preschooler loves to paint and she paints the entire paper in no time. So we painted few papers and made this beautiful heart art.

Kids Valentine Crafts idea!

Materials needed to make this simple valentine craft :

  1. Paper
  2. Tempera paint
  3. Brush
  4. Pencil or pen
  5. Scissors
  6. School glue

Method:

  1. I made my preschooler to paint the entire paper with warm colors like red, orange and yellow.   We used washable tempera paint and white printer paper. After my daughter painted couple of papers with warm colors, I gave her cool colors like blue, green to paint few more papers.
  2. When the paint was still wet, we made few designs in the papers with the toilet roll and back of the paint brush.
  3. We let our paintings dry. It took nearly 2 hours to dry completely. Beautiful painted papers are ready!
  4. I drew heart shape on the back of some of the painted papers with pencil. My daughter cut out the heart shape.
  5. She pasted the heart shape on the contract color paper with school glue.Easy Valentine crafts for preschoolers
  6. To make it a little more fancy, we painted dots on the side of the heart shape with back of the pen.

The beautiful contrast heart painting is done! It just involves painting the entire paper, cutting out heart shapes and pasting on the contrast color painted paper. Isn’t it beautiful?

It is a simple painting my preschooler enjoyed making it.
