Today’s post is about a simple peacock craft for preschool aged kids. My preschooler wanted to do a peacock craft after seeing her sister’s watercolor peacock paintings with crayon and with marker. We made this simple paper peacock.
Peacock craft for preschool!
Materials needed to make this simple peacock craft:
- Washable tempera paints
- Printer papers
- Googly eyes
- Pencil
- Scissors
- School glue
- Paper punch (optional)
Method:
- We created few painted papers. Painted paper is nothing but a paper painted completely with multiple colors of paint. My preschool painted few printer paper with tempera paints. I usually restrict few colors for single paper.
- We dried the painted papers completely.
- I drew the peacock body and feathers at the back of the painted papers with pencil.
- My preschooler cut them out.
- My preschooler arranged the feather and body on another painted paper and glued them in place with school glue.
- She punched out few dots from a painted paper.
- She glued the punched out dots and googly eyes.
The simple peacock crack is done! We could not add the crown of the peacock because of the position of the feather. What do you think about our peacock?
