Paper Mache projects are little messy but kids love to do them (of course, kids and messy go together!). We had made paper mache bowl earlier which can be used as a gift for any occasion! We used the same paper mache technique to make ladybug. It is an easy craft for kids of all ages for Spring.
Materials needed:
1. A bowl
2. Newspaper
3. School glue
4. A plastic paper
5. Black construction paper
6. Acrylic paint
Method:
1. Turn the bowl upside down and cover it with the plastic paper.
2. Tear newspaper into bits. My preschooler loves tearing paper.
3. Mix glue with water in the ratio of 1:1.
4. Dip the paper in the glue mixture and paste it over the bowl. Cover the entire bowl with the paper.
5. If required, do one more layer of covering.
6. Let it dry for 10 – 12 hours. Once dry, the paper bowl will come out easily.
7. Apply a thin coat of red acrylic paint on the bowl. Make black dots on them.
8. To make the head, cut out a semicircle from the black construction paper and drew eyes on them with black and white paint.
9. Attach the head to the body with glue.
