Playgroundparkbench is touring the world by flower. Bloggers from all around the world do a flower craft representing their state or country and share it with you all. We have flower crafts from 16 US states and 9 countries. My nine year old made a lotus flower from Milk jug to represent India. She attached a magnet to change her lotus flower craft to a fridge magnet.

Materials needed:
1. Plastic empty milk jug
2. Scissors
3. Hot glue
5. Marker
7. Nail polish (optional)
Method:
1. Cut out a circle from the milk jug.
2. Draw a smaller circle inside.
3. Draw petals from inner circle to outer circle.
4. Cut out the extra part surrounding the petals leaving the petals attached to the inner circle.
5. Fold the petals towards their center.
6. Cut out few more individual petals from the milk jug.
7. Attach those individual petals in between the petals in the circle with a hot glue.
10. My daughter used pink colored nail polish to color the petals. As she did not have yellow colored nail polish, she used the acrylic paint. She applied 3 to 4 layers of acrylic paint.
11. She attached a magnet to the flower.
The lotus flower craft is done!
