As my preschooler shows a lot of interest towards alphabets and phonics, we are doing more activities related to alphabets. This alphabet activity for preschoolers is very simple to set up and fun to explore!
Materials needed: (affiliation links are used)
3. White crayon
Method:
1. Write alphabets and numbers in the watercolor paper with white crayon.
2. Ask the preschooler to paint on the paper.
3. Enjoy the reaction of the preschooler when she or he sees the letters popping out.
When my preschooler had colored only half of a letter, only that portion popped out and she started guessing that letter. It was so much fun to watch her do that!
This activity is based on crayon resist watercolor technique. Combining both art and learning created an interesting activity for my preschooler.
At the end, it created a beautiful wall art. Bonus!
More ideas for inspiration!
