We love crafting with aluminium foil aka aluminum foil. We made flowers out of the kitchen roll and covered them with aluminium foil to create this beautiful aluminium foil flowers wall art. Can you believe this beautiful art is from recycled materials?
Materials needed: (affiliation links are used)
4. Tacky glue
Method:
1. Remove the tabs from the empty cereal box. Cut out one side of the box. It’s our canvas.
2. Cut out thin strips from the empty kitchen roll. Slightly press to make them look like an elongated circle. These are our petals.
3. Arrange the kitchen roll petals in the cereal box canvas. Once you are satisfied with your arrangement, glue them using tacky glue.
4. Let the art dry.
5. Once dry, cover the cereal box canvas with the aluminum foil. The foil should be slightly bigger than the canvas. Fold and glue the excess foil at the back of the canvas.
6. With the tip of the finger or a soft cloth, slightly rub the flower petals. The petals will “show” through the foil.
7. Color the petals with Sharpie.
The beautiful art work is done! Aluminium foil and Sharpie create beautiful stunning work. It is mess free and it was pretty simple for my nine year old.
